Distribution and Abundance of Shrimp Larvae in The East Beach of Aceh, East Aceh Regency, Indonesia

Abstract Shrimp fisheries are one of the targets for local governments in designing and developing a marine protected area, especially East Aceh Regency. In general, efforts to preserve shrimp production requires information on larval distribution. The phase life cycle is essential continuing stock nature. This study aims analyse distribution larvae which become potential resources. was conducted at ten stations coastal area April September 2015. data collected used “bongo net” with mesh size 500 mm mouth opening 60 cm length 3 metres pulled flat speed ± 2 knots 10 minutes. Faund, highest abundance, family Palaemonidae. At same time, lowest Sergestidae. addition, found two families (Squillidae Penaidae) were besides these, other species grouped unidentified category.
